EMPOWERING

Inclusive Family Mediation Services
Currently Serving NY and CT

Mediation is not just economical - it's empowering. The clients, not the lawyers or courts, are in charge throughout this voluntary process.  A mediator should serve as a neutral guide ensuring the parties remain educated and engaged in collaborative decision making while ensuring fairness and confidentiality.

Forte Family Mediation offers affordable and inclusive mediation services for all family relationships. Whether mapping out your future, repairing a strained relationship, or restructuring your family after divorce or a break-up, FFM will guide you through a collaborative process of problem solving resulting in a mutual beneficial plan or agreement that allows you to move forward. FFM is a fully virtual practice, providing a more flexible experience.

Meet Your Mediator

Kim Forte

I am an attorney and a certified divorce and relationship mediator with over 25 years of family law and civil litigation experience. I became a mediator because I truly believe individuals and families are more capable than lawyers and judges to form and reform the structure of their own families. My goal as your guide in mediation is to ensure all parties have the information they need to make decisions and to ensure everyone feels supported with equal opportunity to contribute.

I do not believe in a one size fits all model when it comes to creating and sustaining a healthy family structure. After spending decades litigating for the children's rights, as mediator I will firmly hold the safety and well being of all children involved as a guide through-out the process. At the end of our time together, I hope to leave my clients feeling heard and with a sense of self pride that they worked hard to come to a collaborative new beginning together.
